EA’s A Way Out has finished development and is now in production at manufacturers for retail consumption.
A Way Out is a co-operative prison escape game revealed at last year’s EA Play. The exuberant director of the game, Josef Fares, made an appearance at the Game Awards 2017 to pitch his new game, along with a compelling speech about how it’s “nice” to hate on EA, the one responsible for publishing A Way Out.
The game’s focus on co-operative gameplay has surprised gamers, with the ability to play co-op with friends online, with only one game purchase. Details on how this system will work have yet to be revealed, but Fares confirmed that there will be no online matchmaking, meaning players will be unable to match up with strangers online.
A Way Out releases on March 23rd, 2018, for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
