Fortnite‘s new limited time mode titled “Blitz” is now live for all platforms, introducing faster games.
The storm circle within Blitz mode will shrink immediately upon match start, meaning games are expected to last a maximum of 15 minutes, pending any players actually survive until then. Due to this change, loot drops have increased significantly and supplies will drop faster. Any resources gathered with the pickaxe are doubled, and the chances of a Launchpad appearing have been increased as well.
All of these changes should make for quicker games, but this game mode will only stick around for a limited time, so be sure to get your matches in before it ends. At the time of this writing, the developers have yet to announce when this game mode will end.
Fortnite is available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, and mobile devices.
