One of the most popular Visual Novels in the west, STEINS;GATE, had some brand new information revealed at GDC 2018. STEINS;GATE ELITE is the first visual novel adventure from the partnership between Chunsoft, Inc. and MAGES. Inc. and it is receiving a western release later this year.
STEINS;GATE ELITE will feature a fully remastered version of the original game, with animated scenes from the anime. The game will feature selections of clips from all 24 episodes of the anime it’s based on. For many fans of the genre, they’ll be happy to know that the game will feature English text with the original Japanese audio.
The publisher announced that there will be two sets of DLC for the game, one for PS4 and one for Nintendo Switch. An HD remake of STEINS;GATE PHENOGRAM, a collection of 10 additional stories, will be available for the PS4 version while STEINS;GATE 8-bit, a special 8-bit graphics version of the game, will become available viaNintendo Switch version. Details on how to purchase the downloadable content will be announced later on in the year.
STEINS;GATE ELITE releases on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam (PC) in 2018!
