The classic Nintendo 64 titles Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil are being remastered for PC by game developer Night Dive Studios.
According to Gamespot.com, both games will be remastered to utilize the power of current PC hardware. While both games seem to be very early in development, Night Dive Studios promises to bring back the same ol’ Turok titles “with enhanced graphics and other improvements.”
“When Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was first released it was nothing short of revolutionary,” Night Dive Studios CEO Stephen Kick stated. “To that point, no game had ever offered the combination of graphics and an open world environment that Turok featured. We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring this great franchise back to life and to be able to share these great titles with today’s gaming audience.”
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil were very popular games when they were released in the late 90’s for the Nintendo 64 with both titles scoring 85 and 86 respectively.
While no release date has been announced for either title, they are expected to be available via Steam, GOG.com, GamersGate, Green Man Gaming and the official Night Dive Studios website.
