Having been released today, God of War for the Playstation 4 is receiving great praise. With nothing but positive reviews rolling in, it is no wonder that this title was one of the most anticipated games of the year.
With five years of hard work put behind, the game’s director Cory Balrog posted a very emotional video about him seeing the review scores for the first time. The video is bound to make you cry tears over just how sweet and gentle his reaction is.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m glad I didn’t f**k it up.”
It is a unique glimpse into the world of somebody who works in this industry, and if his smile tells us anything – its that it tell us just how rewarding a job well done can be.
“It shouldn’t matter, but I’m just so f**king proud.” Balrog states. “A lot of people put a lot of work and a lot of faith… and, I’m just so lucky to work with the people I work with. I cannot wait until everybody out there gets a chance to play this. A lot of us at Santa Monica went into making this game; so much of who we are is on that disc.” He continues on, teary-eyed, to thank those that encouraged him throughout the project. The entire video can be shown below.
God of War is a masterpiece, scoring an average of 94% on Metacritic and impressing players who have had the opportunity to pick it up so far. From what I have seen in my short moments playing it the game is breathtaking and a true experience, and I am glad that those that created it did so with such passion and care because it truly shows.
God of War is currently available to play exclusively on Playstation 4.
