Tomorrow, Fortnite players will begin playing as Thanos from the popular movie, Avengers: Infinity War.
The news comes in from Entertainment Weekly who confirms that Fortnite will be receiving the crossover. According to the Avengers: Infitity War co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo, they would occasionally find games to play in between editing sessions.
“Over the past few months, while we were editing Infinity War, we’d take breaks to hop on and get in a few games,” Joe told EW. “And then we started thinking, how cool would it be to have some kind of Avengers–Fortnite mashup? So we stalked Donald.”
Thanos is available through a limited time game mode where players can obtain the Infinity Gauntlet in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Grabbing the gauntlet will transform the player into Thanos along with his many powers, causing a shift in power over the rest of the game.
The Avengers: Infinity War Crossover update will launch tomorrow, but no end date was announced for the limited time game mode.
Fortnite is available for Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, and mobile devices.
