Walmart has not been the most active retailer in Canada when it comes to new releases, but a new listing from Walmart Canada may have leaked a bunch of new games ahead of their official announcements.
The games, originally spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, include Just Cause 4, Splinter Cell, Dragon Quest 2, Lego DC Villians, Borderlands 3, Rage 2, Gears of War 5, and an all-new Assassin’s Creed. All of these titles were spotted on Walmart Canada’s official website earlier today. One odd thing that doesn’t hold water though is the reveal of Forza Horizons 5, as we haven’t yet seen a release of the series’ fourth title. There is strong evidence to suggest that Borderlands 3 is in the works, and that Ubisoft is preparing a new Splinter Cell game thanks to a leak from Amazon Canada, but nothing has yet to be confirmed.
Other titles such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Metroid Prime 4, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Insurgency Sandstorm, The Division 2, and The Last of Us 2 are labelled for pre-order as well, but these titles have been announced in prior months.
Right now, we don’t know if this is any indication of announcements to come, but as this year’s E3 approaches in June, it certainly is possible that we will see all of these titles announced in the coming weeks. What do you think of this? Sound off in the comments below!
