More evidence was discovered on the Nintendo e-Shop, almost confirming that Epic Games’ Fortnite is coming to the Nintendo Switch in the coming weeks.
Nintendo recently updated the Nintendo e-shop to enhance game discoverability, which led Twitter user @SciresM to investigate the new updates to the online marketplace.
In their search, he found that Fortnite’s logo and game name have been added to the Nintendo e-shop’s repository. Including the leaks we previously reported on, with Fortnite being playable on the Nintendo Switch, and the Korean Rating Board listing the game on their official site, we believe an announcement is imminent.
We are curious if Fortnite would be one of the Nintendo Switch titles to feature cross-platform play, with Rocket League and soon Minecraft supporting cross-network play with Xbox One and PC gamers.
We should hear more information about Fortnite’s future during Nintendo’s E3 livestream on Tuesday, June 12th, at 9:00 AM PT.
Fortnite is available for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
