The popular online-hit Warframe is making it’s way to the Nintendo Switch.
The game’s developer Digital Extremes is partnering with Developer Panic Button, who has been responsible for porting Bethesda’s titles Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Doom to the Nintendo Switch. Warframe has a well-established player base with the game sitting at 38 million players registered worldwide. When Warframe launches for the Nintendo Switch, it will remain cooperative with other players, in addition to being free-to-play making new user opt-in very easy.
While no release window was announced, the game will presumably make it’s way to Nintendo’s platform later this year. At the time of the announcement, it is not yet known if the game will support cross-platform multiplayer with the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. Fornite, Minecraft, and Rocket League have already supported this feature, so it will be interesting to see if Warframe follows suit.
Warframe releases for the Nintendo Switch at an unannounced time.
