The independent hit Stardew Valley is receiving the long-awaited multiplayer update next month.
Stardew Valley’s multiplayer update will launch on August 1st and can be purchased from Steam, Humble Bundle, GOG and other marketplaces.
The new update ushers in a bunch of new features, with the highlight being four-player farming. Players are given the option to continue their single-player save with more players, or start from scratch with the experience and enjoy the game from its roots (No pun intended). Other features include a chat box with custom emojis, the ability to work together on a single farm, a scalable difficulty which will adjust profit margin, and the ability to marry your fellow comrades.
The update has been in the works since 2016, with public beta testing concluding last month. The update will release for the PC version of the game first, with the Nintendo Switch version planning to release before the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions.
Stardew Valley is available for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
