Bandai Namco announced that Cooler will join the roster in Dragon Ball FighterZ later this year.
Following the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament at EVO 2018 this year, Bandai Namco announced that Cooler, an antagonist from some of the Dragon Ball Z films, will join the roster later this year. For those unaware, Cooler is Frieza’s older brother, who has caused a bunch of problems for the Z fighter’s in the movies.
The announcement was made with a trailer showcasing moments from the Dragon Ball Z series. It kicks off showing the base forms of Goku and Vegeta fighting against each other, referring to their inclusions as playable characters made a few days ago. Shortly after, Cooler arrives, showing off his selection of moves against Goku.
Presumably, Cooler will see a release on every platform, including the upcoming Nintendo Switch release of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game’s Nintendo Switch open beta is scheduled to kick off on August 10th, so anyone will be able to try the game prior to its release in September.
No release date was made for Cooler’s arrival, but we should see more information in the coming weeks. Be sure to stay tuned to Informed Pixel for more information regarding Cooler’s release.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is scheduled to release on September 28th, 2018.
