Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 received another gameplay trailer today, this time, showing more of the game’s action and cinematic scenes.
In what I describe as GTA-esque gameplay, players are given the ultimate in control, whether or not they will play the game like a saint or unlawfully. Elaborate heists and exploration are highlights in the trailer, with random events planned to disrupt your route, regardless of play style.
The trailer also shows off Red Dead 2’s enhanced Dead-Eye system, a bullet-time mechanic allowing for quick, precision shots to be made on the fly. The system also allows you to automate your shots by painting nearby enemies, but its use is limited.
We see a small glimpse of the new first-person mode near the end of the trailer. This is the first time we have seen Red Dead Redemption from this perspective, so it should be nice to enter the Western from our protagonist’s point of view.
Red Dead Redemption 2 releases for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 on October 26th, 2018.
