We recently wrote an article on the discovery of a brand new Pokémon in Pokémon Go called Meltan. It was undoubtedly revealed to generate even more buzz on the run up to the Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu and Lets Go Eevee games on the Nintendo Switch. It also exaggerates again the links that will exist between Pokémon Go and the upcoming console titles.
Today the evolved form of Meltan was revealed and boy has it grown! What was once a tiny blob and nut is now a massive but unique beast. Melmetal has been confirmed to be a Steel-Type Pokémon and it will be interesting to see if it will have any unique moves in its arsenal. No matter what though, Melmetal will no doubt look amazing on the Nintendo Switch.
We’re very excited to see what other surprises are in store for us in the run-up to and release of Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu and Lets Go Eevee. It is, undoubtedly, the biggest leap forward that the franchise has ever made and could possibly completely reinvent the series as a whole.
