Telltale Games has revealed that that first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode will launch digitally on October 13th, 2015.
The game will also see a retail release on October 27th, which will include the season pass; unlocking all five episodes as they are released. The game should follow the same formula as seen in other titles like Tales From The Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead.
Lydia Winters, Brand Director at Mojang states “One of the greatest things about this project is that it gives the community a chance to interact with the world of Minecraft in a new and different way. It also marks the beginning of some exciting narrative-form content based on our game,”
Episode 1: The Order of the Stone will launch for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on their respective online stores. The same game will be available via iOS and Android on Thursday, October 15th.
