Recently, Bethesda has been under fire after they made an absolute mess of their Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition. If you haven’t already heard the story then you can catch up by reading our previous article here.
After not only sending out an extremely cheap looking nylon bag instead of the promised canvas bag. Bethesda also responded poorly to initial backlash and only made the situation worse for themselves. It was pointed out by fans that the 500 atoms given as compensation for the mistake wasn’t even enough in game currency to buy a digital version of the canvas bag for their vault-dwellers.
However, Bethesda is finally beginning to make amends. A tweet went out today stating that plans to manufacture the original canvas bags advertised were being finalized and that anyone who ordered the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition can go online and claim their replacement.
Fans will certainly be happy with this news and maybe over time, this incident will be forgotten about. The fact of the matter is that this should never have happened in the first place. Especially when players fork out all that extra money for special editions of the games they love. There is no reason why they should not be provided with a product of the quality that was advertised.
Let us know what you think. Have Bethesda redeemed themselves by finally sending out new canvas bags? Or is it too little too late?
