Ubisoft announced that today marks the release of the first Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC. The new thread for those who have finished the main story line, is episodic in nature, meaning this episode, titled “Hunted“, is only the first in a planned series of three.
It begins with the player meeting Darius, the “the first user of the iconic Assassin’s Hidden Blade“, and who’s tomb made an appearance in AC: II. It will also introduce a new enemy, the Order of the Ancients.
Along with the usual DLC content (new legendary gear and weapons), each episode will add a new skill to a particular branch of the skill tree– in this case, the ability is Death Veil, where the bodies of slain enemies will disappear immediately; no corpse-cart necessary.
In order to access this content, the player must have completed the Naxos questline in Episode 7 of the main story, and has to have reached at least Level 28.
The AC: Odyssey DLC is the biggest of any of Ubisoft’s extra content ideas, and this is only the start. The AC: Odyssey Season Pass (now $49.99) owners will get all three episodes of Legacy of the First Blade as well as the upcoming episodic expansion The Fate of Atlantis, which they can play as released or bide their time in order to play through the entirety at once. Those with a Season Pass also have access to AC: III Remastered and AC: Liberation Remastered, to be released in March 2019.
