Brand new details have emerged about the upcoming JRPG FAIRY TAIL. Based off the popular anime and manga of the same name, the game will feature extended story-line arcs. These new details, announced by KOEI TECMO and developer GUST Studios, inform fans that the story-line includes the fan favourite Tenrou Island arc, the Grand Magic Games arc and the Tartaros arc. The game will also feature other episodes from the original canon.
The game’s main story is set about half way through the anime and revolves around the near destruction of the FAIRY TAIL guild. The guild has lost credibility and has amassed debt. Luckily Natsu and his team are back and ready to help FAIRY TAIL return to its rightful state. Various battles such as Natsu’s team facing Hades, Erza fighting Kagura and battles against the dark guild Tartaros are no doubt highlights of the game. Brand new original episodes are also featured in game to allow playable characters to bond.
Two new playable characters were recently announced, with more to come in the future. Gajeel Redfox and Juvia Lockser are set to join the selection of playable characters, alongside other known characters such as Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, and Wendy Marvell. Accepting jobs inside the FAIRY TAIL headquarters will be one way of returning the guild to its former glory. These jobs can vary in difficulty, but are usually paired with battles, so selecting the appropriate characters to use is an important aspect of accepting jobs. Players can receive money, items, and guild fame. All will be vital for the success of the FAIRY TAIL guild.
