Often stated as one of the best, if not the best game in the franchise, Devil May Cry 3 is returning. Unfortunately it’s not a version with updated fancy graphics or smooth new gameplay, but that’s part of the charm. Joining the Nintendo Switch line up very soon will be Devil May Cry 3. The announcement came with not only the release date, but also the price of the title.
Devil May Cry 3 also enhanced the battle systems and added a new style system with six options. These included Swordmaster and Gunslinger, which both heavily changed the flow of the gameplay. Each style has its own range of features that players can upgrade. These upgraded styles allow certain special attack abilities to be unlocked after a certain point of play. Devil May Cry also introduced a simple but very important element to the series. The ability to change equipped weapons whenever the player wanted to allow for full combat freedom and choice.
The Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition adds Vergil as a playable character, along with a survival mode known as “the 9,999 floors of the Blood Palace.” This game coming to the Nintendo Switch will allow playing on the go to be an option for the very first time. Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2 are already available on the Nintendo Switch, so trying out those games first might be recommended for those wanted to get a taste of the hack and slash style action. With that being said, Devil May Cry 3 really is in a league of its own, so trying it is an absolute must even if someone didn’t enjoy the first two titles.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition will release February 20th, 2020 on Nintendo Switch for $19.99. For more gaming news you can keep up to date at Informed Pixel.
