It has been revealed by Matt Walker from the Capcom team that the Nintendo Switch version of Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition will get new features. The most note worthy fan feature is one that has been requested by fans for many years. Some players have even modded this feature into previous versions of the game.
First confirmed in a video on Twitter, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition will include the ability to seamlessly switch combat styles on the fly. This seamless style switch option is only the first out of three major announcements for the game, with the other two announcements coming January 30 and February 13.
In Devil May Cry 3, there are 6 combat styles available. 4 are available from the very beginning of the game, with the other 2 being unlocked throughout the games story. This newly added feature will allow players to swap through these styles at any time. This allows opportunities to create many more combos than ever before. Creating combos using all 6 of these styles will no doubt open up possibilties that even the creators have never thought possible.

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition also offers Vergil as a playable character, along with the infamous 9,999 floors of the “Bloody Palace” survival mode. For those unfamilar with the series, it may come as a shock to learn that the third game of the series is actually a prequel to the first game. Devil May Cry 3 takes plays many years before the original Devil May Cry and is somewhat an origin story for Dante. It also introduces Vergil and the intense rivalry between the two brothers.
