Square Enix is at it again, releasing a new trailer for their remake of the original 1995 game, Trials of Mana. Their most recent game for the Nintendo Switch PlayStation 4 and Steam.
Trials of Mana is an ARPG (Action Role-Playing Game) developed by the critically acclaimed Square Enix. It tells a story of a magical world that has been shrouded by evil and darkness.
The new trailer boasts beautiful graphics and a story-driven narrative, whilst also showing off the combat and gameplay that is featured in the game. The trailer also gives us a taste of the brilliantly composed musical theme that is sure to get players excited to play.
The trailer showcases small snippets of the story, with one of the main characters, Duran, finding the ‘Mana Sword’. This sword is later taken by the Crimson Wizard and used to awaken the Benevodons. These Benevodons put the Mana Tree at risk, so must be stopped.
Players will be able to choose their main character, upgrade their characters classes and party up with the game’s diverse and unique characters. They’ll also be able to go on quests to fight monsters, demons and more using combat gameplay that mimics a healthy mix of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy.
As of April 24th, 2020, Trials of Mana is currently available on Steam, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, with console versions having the option for either physical or digital copies. All platforms will also offer a demo version. For more information about the game check out the Trials of Mana official website.
