Deep Silver and developer Codemasters have released the brand new gameplay trailer for F1 2020, which will be releasing in July. The trailer reveals updated life-like visuals and intense wheel-to-wheel driving on some of the season’s most demanding circuits. This trailer also celebrates the 70th anniversary of Formula One racing.
F1 2020 is the official video game for the 2020 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™, and as such will be using many cars and circuits that will be seen this year. The game will also feature 16 classic F1 cars seen throughout the history, with an additional 4 included with the F1 2020 Schumacher Edition.
Some of the classic cars included are the 2010 Mclaren Mp4-25, 2009 Brawn BGP 001, 2008 Mclaren MP4-23, 2007 Ferrari F2007, 2006 Renault R26 and 1990 McLaren MP4/5B. The additional cars included in the F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition are the 2000 Ferrari F1-2000, 1995 Benetton B195, 1994 Benetton B194 and 1991 Jordan 191.
The F1 2020 trailer also features the returning Formula 2, which had a successful debut in last year’s F1 2019. F2 has been fully integrated into career mode, and allows players to choose either full season, half season and three-race challenges, providing an epic training ground for F1. The 2019 season will be available to play at launch with the 2020 season coming as a free update later this year.
“The first in-game trailer has become a key moment in the F1 game campaign and this year is no exception,” Says Codemasters’ F1 Franchise Game Director, Lee Mather. He continues; “Each season we raise the visual benchmark, and with more circuits and teams getting new liveries. We can’t wait for the season to start and for players to be able to race.”
F1 2020 is set to be released July 10th, 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Google Stadia for $59.99. Players who buy the $69.99 F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition will receive exclusive content, including the 4 extra classic cars and 3 day early access.
