We are extremely excited to help spread the news that STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town is being released on the Nintendo Switch. Developed by Marvelous Inc. this game has been one of the most anticipated for fans of the series.
STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town is the remake of 2003’s very popular farming simulation on the Game Boy Advance. Known in Japan as Bokujo Monogatari, this will be the first mainline title in the Harvest Moon series for the Nintendo Switch and for a new generation of farmers.
Full to the brim with delightful characters and multiple activities, there is lots to get your tractor motor running. Whether you raise livestock or harvest crops, there are many ways to be at home in your farming community. There is also a chance to find romance. Fans will be happy to know that multi-floor mining and horse racing will be making a very welcome return.
So, what is the story (of seasons)?
Mayor Thomas summons a young city slicker to the farm that was previously owned by their late grandfather. Upon arrival at Mineral Town, it is certainly clear that the farmland is in pretty bad shape and needs someone hands-on to get it back to its former (or better) glory.
The main character (the player) spent previous summers at Mineral Town and goes straight back to picking up their farming tools and uses their past experience to get to work. Along your journey you will make friends with the local people and, if you’re lucky, find some love!
XSEED Games are launching STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town in North America on July 14th, 2020 for the Nintendo Switch. You can expect to pick this up at $49.99. Get your free “Strawberry Hanako” pocket plushie or Cow Costume DLC (whether you purchase at retail or digitally, respectively).
