Bethesda has announced that over 12 million copies of Fallout 4 have shipped to retailers before launch.
While this doesn’t necessarily reflect the sales, it should be no secret that Fallout 4 has sold significantly well at retail and online marketplaces. Bethesda has also reported that Steam has broken the record for the most concurrent players logged in at once and that the Fallout Pip-Boy app became the number-one game on Apple’s app store since it’s release a week prior to launch.
“We’re extremely proud of Todd Howard, Game Director at Bethesda Game Studios, and his experienced team of developers for their talent and dedication in creating this extraordinary game,” stated Vlatko Andonov, President of Bethesda Softworks. “Fallout 4 is a masterpiece in game development and storytelling, providing fans hundreds of hours of fun as they explore and are challenged by this fascinating, beautifully crafted world.”
Fallout 4 has also been doing very well in the reviews, with a Metacritic score currently sitting at 88 for Xbox One, 87 for Playstation 4 and 86 for PC. Speaking of, keep an eye out for our review later this month!
If you haven’t yet, you can pick up a copy of Fallout 4 on Amazon for $59.99.
