The newest update to Animal Crossing New Horizons is the pick for this weeks highlight. Oh Animal Crossing, how the world loves you. During these difficult times and weird crossovers with DOOM, Animal Crossing is easily one of the most played games in 2020, and the newest update is only keeping this indoor outdoors bonfire roaring.
I’m not the biggest Animal Crossing fan, but the reactions my mother and sister (who are casual gamers) are giving Animal Crossing New Horizons are clearly good ones. As we are all locked up in our homes, it is clearly bringing me some joy and laughs, especially since all they play is Animal Crossing New Horizons.
So with the latest update, they were acting like monkeys getting a banana at the simple new additions of swimming and diving. For me, that is why this is my picked highlight. Of course, there is more added than going for dip, including Gulliver the Seagull wearing new clothes, new fish for the museum and new DIY recipes for mermaid themed furniture.
While a small update, the reaction it’s had among myself and my family has been incredible. If it’s had me rolling on the floor in laughter, no doubt other fans of this game have felt the same. It gives a special experience in the gaming community that is just filled with happiness and love.
