A new CGI trailer for Ghost of Tsushima has dropped from Sucker Punch Productions. The game studio have been quiet for the past few years whilst working on their current title, but they are well known in the industry from the PS2 days.
Back then they created the Sly Cooper Trilogy as their breakout hit that got the studio some notoriety. Sucker Punch Productions went on to produce the excellent Infamous games which solidified the studio as a capable one.
The Ghost of Tsushima ‘A Storm is Coming’ trailer is CGI, so no more gorgeous gameplay this time. The trailer does however convey the sense of the wonder in it’s scenery, which we will see in this aesthetically pleasing game. The feeling conveyed within this trailer is the same as when gameplay was first revealed to us a few months. The same tone and atmosphere stays consistent throughout all the games trailers.
Somber but faintly sinister woodwind instruments convey an eerie sense of dread and Japanese flavour, Scenes of war ravaged battlefields, open meadows, bamboo forests and the scenic traditional Japanese temples all come together to create a feast for the eyes. We’ll find out if the gameplay that follows is as impressive as the visuals on release.
Ghost of Tsushima releases for PlayStation 4 on the July 17th, 2020. For more reviews and gaming news you can keep up to date at Informed Pixel. Want to speak to the team and interact with other gamers? You can do so over on the Informed Pixel Facebook page or on the Informed Pixel Twitter account.
