Odin is with us! During the Ubisoft Forward digital conference; Ubisoft announced the release date for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Alongside this exciting announcement, Ubisoft also showed off the insane new gameplay and other attributes that will be featured in the game.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a truly ambitious action RPG that has a focus on player choice and exploration. From breathtaking locations, interesting & surprising characters, and gameplay challenges; this entry will be the best yet. Dialogue choices and combat decisions can even influence the world that the player inhabits!
Combat has always a primary focus in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and it is certainly no different here. The brutal combat will involve the duel -wielding of plentiful weapons, such as axes, swords and even shields.
With the return of the iconic hidden blade, players will be able to assassinate enemies with deadly precision. The utilisation of these different combat skills will be important in taking down the greatest variety of enemy types in the franchise thus far.
The game introduces an all new character known as Eivor, who is a Viking from Norway. Eivor will be available in both male or female variants, and is designed to be canon regardless of the sex orientation. The character will also have fully customisable clothing, hair, tattoos, war paint and more!
The story will follow Eivor in a captivating Viking experience, that will bring players from Norway to the dark ages of England. The game will include new features such has raids, settlement buildings and a quest to earn a place among the gods in Valhalla.
The Hype Train
Prepare to get hyped for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with a seven-song EP from the Original Soundtrack; composed by Jesper Kyd & Sarah Schander with an additional original song by Einar Selvik. The EP will be releasing on July 17th, 2020 and will be available to listen to on Spotify and purchase on iTunes. The full soundtrack is now available for pre-order alongside a new novel, comic and an art-book.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases on November 17th, 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store on Windows PC. Additionally, the game will also release on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 upon their releases. Players who purchase the game on legacy consoles will be able to upgrade their game to the next-gen consoles for free.
