We have some big news for Xbox gamers this time around! We are pleased to share the news that the critically acclaimed Touhou Luna Nights will now be available on Xbox One and the Microsoft Store in September. Originally released on Steam, the game is the latest in the popular Touhou Project franchise.
Developed by Team Ladybug and published by Active Gaming Media Inc.’s indie game platform PLAYISM, the game will support 6 languages; Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Korean, German, and French.
So, what’s happening in Touhou Luna Nights?
In this Metroidvania 2D action game, Head vampire, Remilia Scarlet, sends her maid Sakuya Izayoi to another world without warning. But, what is Remilia’s agenda? How can Sakuya escape this strange new world? Having the ability to stop time and armed with her knife-throwing skills, Sakuya must explore and fight her way out of this bizarre world of Luna Nights.
With the well-known Touhou Project Graze system, Sakuya can also timely avoid enemy attacks and restore her HP and MP. Above all, it is up to you, the player, to guide Sakuya out of this strange place.
The original Steam release had overwhelmingly positive reviews and sold over 150,000 units. In this latest Xbox version, there is an additional boss battle not found in the original Steam release. Therefore, long standing enthusiasts may want to jump back in.
Fans of the series will be pleased to know that Touhou Luna Nights will be available on Xbox One and the Microsoft Store on September 3rd, 2020 at $17.99. At the time of writing, pre-orders for Touhou Luna Nights are now live!
