Its been a long wait, but Halo 3: ODST has finally landed on PC. Make no mistake, being an ODST isn’t for the faint of heart, because you will be dropping feet first into hell. So what came with the latest update to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC?
Campaign
The campaign has indeed made its way to PC, and it’s one of the best campaigns out there. You play as an ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) who goes by ‘The Rookie’. You are part of a squad lead by Gunnery Sergeant Buck, who has seen more than his fair share of war against the Covenant. An ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) operative named Veronica Dare has been put in charge of the operation that Buck and his squad has been assigned, which was to land on the Covenant supercarrier.
While you are in the process of falling from space into hell, the carrier makes a jump into slipspace, knocking the teams pods out of control, scattering them across New Mombasa. You as the Rookie take on the task of finding your lost ODST team, as you fight in the dark, alien ridden streets of new Mombasa. You will pick up clues as to where they have gone, and uncover even more sinister plots from the Covenant.
Firefight
If you thought the campaign was tough as an ODST instead of being an augmented super-soldier, just wait until you try firefight. You can play with up to 3 other troopers fighting off wave after wave of Covenant, with each wave getting more and more difficult with every one you complete. Strategy is a must, and cover is your best friend while the Covenant tries to bring down its iron fist on you and your squad.
Halo 3: ODST is now available on Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC on both Steam and the Microsoft Store. Get your copy today, and get ready to drop feet first into hell. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
