Last week’s Indie Highlight was the PlayStation VR hit rhythm game Thumper! This interesting VR game will have you slide-turning, jumping, and bracing their beetle-thing to break through objects to a rhythm set by the stage’s soundtrack. It’s really intense stuff and worth checking out right here!
Our Highlight of the Week went to the upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, which is releasing this week! In it you will be dragged into the Shadowlands, where an ancient force of death threatens to break its bonds and unravel reality. Learn more about the 8th expansion here!
Newly Released DLCs!
Hearthstone: Madness at the Darkmoon Faire has released! This new expansion features a dark twist of theme; and the return of some powerful beings many players have fond memories of. With new cards, game modes and more there’s a lot to be excited for; learn more about the recent release here!
Persona and Another Eden has featured many awesome crossovers in the past; and it has continued with Violet and Skull from Persona 5 joining the fray. There is also a few other neat surprises that the latest crossover DLC features, so be sure to learn more about all the new additions here!
Within Our Grasp
Call of the Sea has finally received a release date, and it is a lot closer than you think! Playing as Norah, you’ll embark on a quest to a mysterious island and solve many puzzles to find your missing husband. However, with the game being inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s work, things are bound to get weird. Learn the release date and more about the game on this secret island!
By fusing visual novels and VR together, developers MyDearest hope to forge a new path with ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos. Taking place 300 years after the original, players control Chloe, a genetically enhanced soldier thrown into mecha battles against aliens. Learn more about this upcoming VR game here!
The charismatic adventure game Noel The Mortal Fate Season 1-7 will be getting a retranslated release in English and Simplified Chinese! Follow the dark and depressing tale of pianist Noel Cerquetti in a way more accessible than ever! Learn more about the re-release coming later this year!
Lovekami -Divinity Stage is an upcoming visual novel following the lives of Goddesses who have to descended to Earth. Their goal is to become become the Top Idol of the L☆SEVEN. Learn more about this interactive novel here!
Just Beyond Reach
The beautiful and fluid looking game, Blade Assault, is a 2D Cyberpunk Action Rogue-lite extravaganza that has made it’s way to a Kickstarter! The player takes control of a resistance fighter as they aim to defeat the corrupt leader of the city of Esperanza. Learn more about this upcoming 2D game here!
The Nomadic Survival MMO Last Oasis is releasing on Xbox platforms in 2021! Set in a post-apocalyptic future of a devolved Earth, the remaining survivors must outrun the scorching sun to survive. Learn more about this massive multiplayer game with a neat premise here!
It has been confirmed by the 343 Industries community director Brian Jarrad/Ske7ch that the highly anticipated Halo Infinite will unfortunately not make an appearance at the Video Game Awards. Learn more about the confirmation here as the team gets ready for the 2021 launch!
