As most know, gamers can look forward to a couple of “free” games every month if subscribed to PlayStation Plus. Just before the end of the year, Sony is trying to make the future seem brighter; the first PlayStation Plus games of 2021 have been announced.
Better yet, it’s hard to imagine a more diverse trifecta of games, but one will only be accessible if you already own a PlayStation 5. Fortunately, if you haven’t managed to find one yet, you can download the game for future use.
The PlayStation 5 title for January 2021 is Maneater, and it’s an interesting Indie Game. The player controls a shark who must swim around and eat…everything it can. As an open-world RPG, the goal is to grow and upgrade your predator. Evolve into a terrifying beast so you can become the ocean’s fiercest animal.
The PlayStation 4 will receive Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Greedfall.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the 3rd entry in the rebooted franchise, but didn’t quite climb to the heights of the first two. The game takes place in South America with the Mayan apocalypse as a plot element. But more importantly, the Tombs are back for raiding!
The final game is Greedfall, an action-RPG where the player is an explorer of new lands. Players will choose their own paths through the story using combat, diplomacy, stealth, or deception. Your actions will have consequences as you befriend or betray entire factions.
So Maneater, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Greedfall are the first PlayStation Plus games of 2021 to be announced. If you haven’t downloaded Decembers games, you have until January 5th, 2020. They include Bugsnax (PlayStation 5), Just Cause 4, Rocket Arena, and Worms Rumble.
