Welcome Guardians. Finally after many teases from the developer Bungie, we now have details and a release date for the next set of Destiny DLC. This DLC is considered more of an “update” but does add more free content for the Destiny community. This spring update will be free to all those who have bought the expansion, though it is not stated if there will be a charge for those who have not purchased The Taken King or if it will even be available. The DLC will drop on April 12th, just under a month away.
The spring update will include new PVE challenges, increased light level cap, updated gear, increased rewards, and a new strike called the Blighted Chalice. Just from the promotional images alone there is some speculation that some updates are coming to the Prison Of Elders arena too. It is also thought that the featured “Taken” analogs of the Guardians will be new skins as opposed to new enemies.
On Wednesday, March 23rd at 11 AM PST, Bungie will take to its own new Twitch channel to show and explain the new things to do in Destiny’s April update. Then again, they’ll be showing on March 30th to talk about the new rewards added to Destiny. Finishing up finally on April 6th, where they will go over the new changes or additions to the sandbox and crucible.
