Today marks the end of an era as the Playstation 2’s last online game, Final Fantasy XI, is taken offline.
Final Fantasy XI’s online servers will be taken down by the end of the day today for Xbox 360 and Playstation 2 platforms. For those who don’t know, Final Fantasy XI is the last game to be made available via Sony’s online service for Playstation 2 consoles, marking March 31st, 2016 the official death of the Playstation 2’s life cycle.
Those with an active accounts can still enjoy their last few hours of gameplay on their hard-worked characters before the servers go down tonight.
