Alibaba is a technology company who has recently announced their creation of a tournament that will have record breaking prize pools. It is predicted by the company that the tournament will cost $15 million or more USD. The company stated they will have multiple eSports game tournaments for games including Dota 2, CS:GO, Hearthstone and Starcraft 2.
Alibaba has also stated that the prize pools for each of these tournaments will be 1.5 million for Dota 2 and CS:GO as well as 400.000 and 300.000 for Hearthstone and Starcraft 2 respectively. For CS:GO this is the biggest prize pool in he history of Counter Strike. In fact it even surpasses the Valve events for the game making it a historical tournament.
