Nintendo have announced that New Pokémon Snap for the Nintendo Switch is now available for pre-order. Get ready to traverse the beautiful new Lental region, a series of islands packed with diverse ecosystems, from deep forests to vast deserts. Furthermore, New species of Pokémon in the Lental are waiting to be discovered.
In New Pokémon Snap, players take the role of a Pokémon photographer and work with the Lental region’s Professor Mirror, and assistant Rita, on an ecological journey to photograph Pokémon in their natural habitats. Additionally, Professor Mirror will score the players’ photos taken from their journeys.
Pokémon photography is ranked based on different factors; how large the Pokémon appears, how it poses, or if its is staring straight at the camera. In addition, The players’ best shots can be used to fill the photodex, a collection of Pokémon photographs.
Equally important, players will be safe in the wilderness in the NEO-ONE. It’s an auto-driving vehicle used to traverse the islands, and will assist the player in taking the best photos imaginable.
Some Pokémon and vegetation appear to have a mysterious special glow. These occurrences seem to happen only in the Lental region and it’s natives call it the Illumina Phenomenon.
In order to uncover such a mysterious phenomenon, travel to the Lental region, and hop on the NEO-ONE on April 30th, 2021, when it’s available in retail stores and the Nintendo Switch’s eShop for full retail price. The game is available for pre order for those that want it day 1.
