As Halo 5 developer 343 Industries promised, more new, free content has arrived for the latest installment in Microsoft’s flagship FPS franchise. The brand-new Ghosts of Meridan patch includes loads of new content, including two new maps: Skirmish at Darkstar, and Tyrant, for the Warzone and Arena modes respectively. With these maps comes a ton of new weapons (most notably Tartarus’ Gavel, a shockwave-inducing gravity hammer), vehicles, and aesthetic customization options.
Not only does the patch bring new content, but also many balance changes, bugfixes, and other changes based on player feedback. Many more elements are also being added to Forge as well, allowing for content creators to well, create even more unique content than before.
In addition, on April 14-18, 343 will be launching a special beta run of Warzone Firefight, the new game mode launching this summer. Previously seen at the Halo World Championships, this new cooperative mode will be available for this period, but with only the Escape from A.R.C. map available for play, with many more being added when it officially launches this summer.
