Capcom have announced the fifth and final season of the long-running game, Street Fighter V is officially upon us and with it, the release of a new character, and a bunch for free content!
Returning Character
A main character within the Street Fighter series, and making his last appearance in Street Fighter IV, Dan Hibiki returns in season 5 of Street Fighter V in style.
With his trademark taunts and self-proclaimed “Master of Saikyo” fighting techniques, Dan Hibiki considers himself more than good enough to “school” any fighter who dares to challenge him.
“V-Shift”, Plus New Training Stage
Available in Season 5 is a free upgrade for all Street Fighter V players which comes in the form of a powerful “V-shift” battle mechanic, providing players with all-new defensive options and strategies.
Costing just one bat of V-Gauge, when timed correctly, V-shift gives a player the opportunity to execute a fully invincible backdash that slows time for a short period. Another addition to this final season allows players to check out the new training stage called “The Grid Alternative” for free, as well as, an updated battle balance for all characters.
Season 5, and beyond.
Four more characters will be added to the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. These include: Rose (Spring 2021), Oro (Summer 2021), Akira (Summer 2021), and a fifth and final unannounced character (Fall 2021).
There are two different Street Fighter V Season 5 passes players can choose from, Season 5 Character Pass or the Season 5 Premium Pass.
The season 5 character pass will include; All five season 5 characters and custom colours, Five battle costumes, six titles, bonus content: eleven, and exclusive PlayStation 4 themes and steam wallpapers.
Alternatively, The season 5 Premium Pass will include; All five season 5 characters and custom colours, 26 new costumes, two new stages, all costume colours for season 5 characters, eight titles, bonus content: elven, 100k fight money, and exclusive PlayStation 4 themes, and steam wallpapers.
