Publisher Super.com have released a prologue, as well as a release date, for Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit. The single level prologue gives plenty of hope of what’s to come for the thriller game.
Developed by Busan Sanai Games, Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit revolves around you playing as the spirit of a Korean girl. After making a deal with the God of death in 1920s Korea, you take revenge on the living.
A key feature to the game is the vulnerability of the player. Tactically manoeuvring between enemies and deciding when to possess people is key. This makes the game a joy to play for those who enjoy skulking around and carefully taking down enemies.
The prologue available is a prequel to the events taking place in the main game. Furthermore, it allows you to become familiar with the key mechanics and tactile nature of the gameplay.
As well as the mechanical aspects of the game, the prologue displays some of the visual aspects the game has to offer. The game is predominantly top down view but stays true to the themes in a simple and appealing way. Moreover, there prologue features comic book strip style cutscenes to show off lore.
Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit is set for a Q2 release this year, according to Super.com, and will be available on PC via Steam. In addition, the prologue is available now on PC for free.
