Exploration platformer Tasomachi: Behind The Twilight is set for an imminent release. The game is coming courtesy of publisher Playism as well as being developed by Japanese game veterans Nocras.
Set in a Far-East inspired magical world, Tasomachi follows the adventures of an explorer named Yukumo. Explore through diverse and ever-changing landscapes after crashing on an airship. In addition, interact with the Nezu tribe, a unique group of cat-like people.
You can even have your own personalised house in their city. Furthermore, after fixing the airship, have the opportunity to experience the art from a new perspective and travel to new destinations.
The game seeks to reignite the feeling of exploration platformers of the past. A member of Nocras said,
“It also feels like the world unfairly abandoned the collect-a-thon platformer, and I want to bring that genre back with beautiful visuals that create the same sense of melancholy and joy that I originally felt in my youth.”
In addition, the playful nature seems to coincide with the wishes of developer. In the famous platformer style of games of the past, enjoy easy-going puzzle filled world. What the game lacks in combat, it more than makes up for in fun filled exploration.
Tasomachi: Behind The Twilight is coming to Steam and GOG for Windows PC on April 14th, 2021. The game will be available with Japanese, English, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) language text.
