The original Shadow Man title was initially developed for the PC, PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast just over 22 years ago. Now, Nightdive Studios and Acclaim Studios Teesside have announced the release date of Shadow Man: Remastered.
The game follows the story of Michael LeRoi, the most recent person to be take up the moniker of the Shadow Men, a long line of powerful African warriors who have fought for millennia against the evil forces that seek to invade our world (Liveside).
The main character, Michael is a 32-year-old college dropout with a gambling addiction. After a number of altercations with a supernatural being known as Bokor, LeRoi finds himself working as a hitman, only to find himself implanted with the mysterious Mask of Shadows by the voodoo priestess Mama Nettie. This in turn leads to him becoming the Shadow Man.
With this newfound power, Michael sets off to defend the world from all different types of supernatural beasts, zombies and pale-skinned Deadsiders. who originate from the realm of Deadside. Whilst travelling through worlds, Michael encounters Legion and The Five. Legion is the primary antagonist of the game and commands The Five.
He appears in may forms to the player, taking on the role of middle-aged man in a suit, a giant worm and much more, with the sole intent of recruiting The Five to help him conquer “Liveside.”
Shadow Man: Remastered is set to release on the April 15th, 2021, on PC (Steam, GOG & Epic Games) and will release later on in the year on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
