It is safe to say that Fallout 76 is the gift that keeps on giving. Players will be happy to know that Season Four and some much required overhauls are coming our way with the Locked & Loaded update.
Available now, ‘Armor Ace in Cold Steel’ is the fourth Season to hit Fallout 76. With it, players are now treated to a new scoreboard and can achieve one hundred ranks. Complete quests, events and challenges to progress through the Scoreboard and claim lots of new rewards, as you follow Armor Ace on a new adventure.
Mannequins, Tadpole Badges, Sugar-free Nukashine and Rad Ant Weight Lager are debuting as rewards as part of this new season. In addition, new Power Armor and Weapon Skins will also be available, as well as new C.A.M.P. items and outfits.
What’s so S.P.E.C.I.A.L. about your build?
Another big announcement is that builds can now be overhauled via S.P.E.C.I.A.L. point allocations. Being able to swap loadouts and edit perks has been a common request by fans for some time. Now, this is a reality. With S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts, players can fully reset their characters’ attributes by simply visiting a Punch Card Machine.
You can either build the Punch Card Machine in C.A.M.P. or just find these machines at train stations around Appalachia. Each character can have up to two S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts, so seeing how players re-customise their playset will be interesting.
Introducing C.A.M.P. Slots
Every Fallout 76 aficionado knows that they were always limited to just one C.A.M.P. However, the good news is, you now have C.A.M.P. Slots. Therefore, with the introduction of C.A.M.P. Slots you can now build multiple C.A.M.P.s during play.
Each C.A.M.P. can have its own location, custom name, unique map icon and build budget. Although only a single C.A.M.P. can be active at any one time, it is easy to switch between your C.A.M.P. builds using a new widget or icon on the map.
Inventory management has also had a bit of an overhaul. For example, Vending Machines now have a large number of item slots to be used across all of your C.A.M.P.s and Display Cases will be separate for each C.A.M.P. This allows you to display different items at each of your C.A.M.P. sites.
From its rocky launch to its current state, it’s encouraging to see the dedication by developer Bethesda Game Studios to tweak and fine tune the game. With Locked & Loaded available now, it is a great time to jump into the Fallout 76 experience. For a wider array of gaming news, visit Informed Pixel and follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
