Of Bird and Cage is an upcoming one-of-a-kind metal album & story-driven video game hybrid. Just days before its release, ALL iN! GAMES and Capricia Productions graciously announced that the game/album hybrid has already won a qualifying seat for NGDC 2021!
The Nordic Game Discovery Contest (NGDC) is an exciting, competitive challenge where selected game projects are showcased at partner events across Europe. For Of Bird and Cage, winning a qualification seat gives the game a chance to be discovered in significant ways!
“We are very excited and surprised to win! As funny as it sounds – while this is a pretty big project for indie games, we are very used to being the underdog.” says Arnold Nesis, CEO of Capricia Productions & Composer for Of Bird and Cage.
“When we started the project 6 years ago pretty much every investor we talked to told us that what we want to do doesn’t make any sense and no one understood why we are doing this in the first place. Getting such great feedback so close to the game’s release and seeing people who ‘get it’ and get what we are trying to achieve is incredible and beyond words for us.”
The story-driven game follows Gitta Barbot, a 25-year-old drug addict struggling to escape the physical & mental prison of the abusive Bres Lupas. Throughout this dark & twisted tale, you’ll have to make quick choices with immense consequences that will shape the narrative throughout.
Arnold Nesis has composed a haunting 2-hour metal symphony that syncs perfectly alongside the game. The soundtrack also features artists from Asking Alexandria, ex-Guns N’ Roses, ex-Evanescence, and many more! Prepare for a twisted, one-of-a-kind story experience that this game/metal album hybrid will bring you on!
