The beloved FPS series TimeSplitters is being revived with the confirmation of development from Deep Silver! The highly-regarded Free Radical Design is returning to the franchise to develop it, alongside key developers returning to the team to work on it!
The original TimeSplitters released in 2000 on the PlayStation 2 and was met with critical praise. 2 sequels were later released with similar recognition, building up a dedicated fanbase that still exists today. Many have been hoping for a new entry for years, and now their wishes are finally coming to fruition!
“To finally be able to confirm that the studio has been formed and that we have a plan for the next TimeSplitters game is incredible,” Studio Development Director at Free Radical Design, commented Steve Ellis, commented. “While we cannot tell you anything more at the moment, we look forward to sharing information in the future.”
Over the next several months, Deep Silver & Free Radical Design will focus on building up their team; and commencing production on the game later this year! No further details about the project have been released, but the fact that it’s coming alone is enough to get fans excited!
