The Elder Scrolls Online has come a long way since its initial launch. As Bethesda’s flagship MMO, the game has reached over 18 million players since launching in 2014, and with its newest patch is being brought into the next generation.
Announced back in April of 2021, this new patch will give next gen players a chance to take advantage of their beefy new hardware and get a truly breath-taking experience.
The main features of this new patch are a performance mode that boasts 60fps or a fidelity mode, allowing players to take advantage of a 4K display.
As well as graphical options, players can expect to see drastically improved loading times, draw distances and shadows with enhanced antialiasing. All of these features bringing it much closer in line to a PC experience.
These new bells and whistles are available to players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, with Xbox Series S players getting a upgrade to 1440P at 30fps. This patch comes on the heels of the games latest expansion pack Black wood, which offered players a brand new companion system and questline. Bethesda has made it clear that they are showing no signs of stopping soon.
This new patch is just one of the many reasons to jump into Elder Scrolls Online, having a sprawling community and constant support. The support includes over 20 expansion packs, so there has never been a better time to be an Elder Scrolls fan. Players can download the new patch right now for free on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
