Summer is here, and with that comes vacations and fun in the sun. This also means that many games will have live events that players can participate in to win special in-game rewards. With this in mind, Bungie has just announced the Solstice of Heroes event for Destiny 2 on July 1st, 2021.
As a way to remember those who defended The Last City, Guardians will join the European Aerial Zone to participate and win new gear. The primary focus is the armor explicitly made for this event that will be given to your class can be upgraded throughout the event.
There will also be ornaments to equip the armor won to match the sub-class that the player is currently using. In addition, Ships, Sparrows, and cosmetics can be bought through the Eververse. To have a chance at any of these goodies, one will need to fight bosses and open caches in the EAZ.
Players will also have to use the sub-class chosen for each day to power up one of four elemental buffs to give an edge in battle, while all four can be charged on Prism Days, but only one can be used. A Legendary Shotgun that can be won along with a new Ghost Shell, emblem, and Solstice Packages.
For those who are wondering, it is free for all players on all platforms. Prepare yourself, Guardians, it is the time of remembrance, it is the time of celebration, it is the time of the Solstice of Heroes! Destiny 2 is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC!
