Chromatic Games‘ tower defence/action role-playing game, Dungeon Defenders, has had its share of success and sequels in the past years. After a successful Kickstarter, Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is the latest entry in the series.
With a mobile version of its first game along with a revamp and a direct free-to-play sequel, it isn’t much of a surprise that the game would eventually get another sequel.
This is big news as players who had pre-ordered on the Nintendo Switch have been waiting for an announcement and have just got one on July 14th, 2021.
With this big announcement, a significant update called The Lycan’s Keep (known initially as Episode One) will bring a heap of new content to the game for players to enjoy. Chromatic Games will add two new heroes to the game, for starters: a throwback and the other being brand new.
Great New Content
There will also be four new maps that will come into the game; one is brand new, while the others will be recreated fan-favourite maps. There will also be a new enemy, boss, and gear.
Additionally, there will be Quality of Life overhauls and a few patches to improve the game even further. Supporter packs that have been improved can be purchased to support the game; giving players cosmetic items.
For those looking to join in on the action, Dungeon Defenders: Awaken is $29.99 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam. While the price for the Nintendo Switch version has yet to be determined., the update is free so those looking forward to playing this will be able to jump in!
