Rebellion has revealed a trailer to accompany the release of Sniper Elite 5. The latest sequel in the bone-crunching series has been met with a mix of anticipation and excitement from fans.
Trailer Breakdown
The latest trailer details the advances of Karl, the player, from the beaches of World War II Normandy through the territory of Nazi-occupied France. Furthermore, the gameplay demonstrated some interesting new mechanics.
Furthermore, the extra attention to detail in gunplay and traversal mechanics are on full display in the trailer. The need to consider factors including heart rate and gravity add to the immersion of the real-world setting.
Game Features
In addition, the latest Sniper Elite has a mix of features both improved and entirely new. Firstly, the in-depth campaign continues with the theme of traversing Nazi-occupied France. Defeating the Nazis can be done solo or co-op in the latest campaign.
As well as your own campaign, there is the opportunity to wreak havoc on someone else’s. Invasion mode allows the option of invading another player’s campaign to ruin their time from the perspective of an Axis sniper. This can even be done across modes with full crossplay, also available in multiplayer.
Sniper Elite 5 builds on existing features includes further options for weapon customisation. Workbenches and load-outs allow for even more options in each game mode. Plus the kill cam synonymous with the franchise is back and further improved with the SMGs and pistols having kill cams.
Release Details
As confirmed by the launch trailer, Sniper Elite 5 is available now. Platforms include Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam and the Windows Store. At the time of writing, the game is not currently available on Epic Games Store but will be sometime in the future.
