Fatal Frame/Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Remaster is getting a remastered global release. Developed and published by Koei Tecmo Games, the remaster comes with updated graphics and new unlockable costumes for the playable characters. Along with an all-new Photo Mode, in which you can pose the characters and Ghosts for haunting memories.
Fatal Frame/Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse tells the story of 5 girls who were kidnapped by a serial killer. They all had been saved by the Detective investigating the killer, but with no memory of the event. As the girls explore the western-style mansions and abandoned hospitals on Rōgetsu Isle, they must rely on the moonlight and a faint flashlight to search for clues about their mysterious past.
The girls will need to use a Fatal Frame franchise classic, the Camera Obscura, to defeat vengeful ghosts by sealing their power in photographs. The player must equip stronger lenses and change out different films to capture even more powerful photos.
Fatal Frame/Project Zero Release Information
For the first time, Fatal Frame/Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will be available on multiple platforms. While previously being a Nintendo Wii exclusive game. Fatal Frame/Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse became the best-selling title of the franchise at the time of release. Despite performing lower in sales than most Wii games of the era.
Fatal Frame/Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Steam in early 2023. Keep an eye on your preferred platform’s store, as pre-orders are not yet available at the time of writing.
