Nvidia’s new flagship graphics card, the GTX 1080, has launched worldwide today.
This graphics card was designed with the PC enthusiast in mind – with the GPU being more powerful than every other graphics card in the market. It is said to be faster than two GTX 980 GPU’s running in SLI. The GTX 1080 runs on the new Pascal architecture, running with 8GB of GDDRX Memory and a boost clock of 1733 MHz.
Those wishing they had the perfect card for Virtual Reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive will need to look no further as the GTX 1080 provides an excellent solution for VR performance.
As of this morning, most retailers have already depleted their stock on the card, however more stock is expected to arrive in the very near future.
The GTX 1080 currently retails for $699.99 U.S ($909.00 Canadian) and is available for purchase at participating retailers.
