Update: Nintendo has uploaded the full picture on their social media pages. We’ve updated the featured image with it.
Earlier today Amazon accidentally posted an image on the Zelda Wii U listing featuring Link climbing a cliff-face during a sunrise/sunset.
While the image is beautiful, this does suggest that rock climbing is a new feature that Link will be able to perform during the gameplay. Of course, this isn’t the first time Link has scaled a wall, though it does imply more freedom for exploration if the player is indeed able to scale any rocky wall.
The image has since been removed from the listing. We will likely find out if rock climbing will be a new mechanic for the Zelda series on Tuesday during Nintendo’s Treehouse Event for E3.
