Sony announced Detroit: Become Human with a trailer during their E3 Press Conference today, which features an android police negotiator, branching decision-based storylines, and what appeared to be the ability to reconsider your choices based on their consequences.
Previously, Quantic Dream had said Detroit would feature an android named Kara who stumbled into her consciousness while her brethren were still stuck as automata. The android hostage taker and police negotiator looked to be pretty damn conscious in the trailer, so maybe something has changed and the world of Detroit got a whole lot bigger. That would be a good thing, as the two of them have already mentioned some exciting transhumanism ideas about consciousness and humanity; hopefully more is in store.
There is currently no launch window announced for Detroit: Become Human.
